- UPSC is looking forward to filling up 861 Civil Service positions.
- The last date to apply for the opportunity is February 22.
- Candidates will have to appear for two rounds of written test and one personality test/interview.
Candidates will have to appear for the preliminary test to be conducted by the UPSC on June 5. Those candidates who qualify can appear for the main examination later.
Candidates clearing both the rounds will then be called for a personal interview/personality test.
Indian citizens, aged between 21 and 32, who have graduated from an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) can apply.
Even refugees from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees are eligible to apply for these positions.
Every candidate is allowed to give six attempts. Candidates belonging to categories other than general get more attempts.
Who is not eligible for UPSC prelims?
- A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service/ Indian Foreign Service/ Indian Police Service based on the results of an earlier exam and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to appear at the Civil Services Examination-2022.
- Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination, 2022.
