  • Business students worldwide think it would be great to work for Apple, Google, or JPMorgan Chase.
  • They were at the top of an ideal employer list according to business students in different countries.

Universum, an employer branding specialist, used feedback from thousands of business students from around the world to see where they really want to work. It's part of its World's Most Attractive Employers results.

"We asked these groups of future talent to provide insights into the company characteristics they find most attractive in a potential employer, as well as who they perceive to be their ideal employer," Universum said.

With the hiring rate continuing to be lower than it was before the pandemic, college students may find job searching challenging when they start looking for postgraduation jobs.

Some business students find Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and BMW Group attractive employers to work for, based on the top 15 in Universum's ranking based on business students in different countries.

Universum surveyed students from September 2023 to part of 2024, although the survey collection period wasn't the same for each of the nine countries participating. The survey asked students to list up to five ideal employers, and the ranking is based on the most commonly listed ideal companies for business students. Canada, the US, and India were just three of the places surveyed.

A few companies in the top 15 of the ranking based on business students held the same rank as last year. That includes the top three: Apple, Google, and JPMorgan Chase. All four Big Four companies made the top 15, with PwC coming in at No. 11 and Deloitte at No. 4.

Below are the top 15 companies that business students from different countries said they want to work for.
