Railway recruitment 2022: Over 2,400 apprenticeship posts announced, check out last date and other details

The railway recruitment cell of Central Railway is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up 2,422 apprenticeship posts across various clusters like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur.

The online application has already begun and the last date to apply for the opportunity is 5 p.m., February 16.

Candidates will be paid a minimum stipend as per the apprenticeship rules 1992. Candidates will be paid the stipend in this manner —

First year of the training70% of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.
Second year of the training80% of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.
Third year of the training90% of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.

Eligibility criteria for the roles —

  1. The maximum and minimum age of the candidates should be 24 years and 15 years, respectively.
  2. The candidates must have passed class 10 or 12 with minimum 50% marks from recognised boards.
  3. Candidates should also possess a national trade certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training.
Candidates will also have to pay an application fee of ₹100 through online mode.
