Naukri.com — an online recruitment platform run by Info Edge — on Tuesday released its annual report on upcoming hiring trends ‘Naukri Hiring Outlook Survey 2022’.

Vacancies in next three months

The report revealed that 57 percent, or nearly six in ten, recruiters have plans to hire for both new and replacement roles in the next three months.

Pre-COVID trends may emerge

About 62 percent of recruiters also expect the hiring trends to go back to the pre-COVID levels by June 2022.

Most active roles

Information Technology (IT), business development and marketing are going to be the top functioning areas with most hiring activities in the months to come, the report has added.

Experience matters

From an experience standpoint, recruiters foresee maximum hiring to take place for the experience band of 3-5 years, followed by 1-3 years and 5-8 years at second spot.

College placements may come back

Four in ten recruiters have confirmed that they would be going ahead with college placements in the next few months while only two feel that there may be a reduction in the number of candidates that will be hired from campus.

More people will be quitting their jobs

With hiring on the rise, the attrition rates across companies may also notice a spike. According to Naukri.com’s report, the majority of this attrition is expected from employees in the experience bracket of 3-5 years, followed by 1-3 years.

Layoffs may be on plate for some

One in ten recruiters, part of the survey, also indicate layoffs for the coming months which indicates re-stabilisation after a turbulent period. Meanwhile, two in ten recruiters expect a hold on the hiring.

What is this data based on?

The report is based on a survey carried out by Naukri.com with 1,879 recruiters and consultants, representing over 10 major sectors. “The survey covers multiple aspects of job creation trends/forecasts as well as jobseeker behaviour covering areas like job opportunities and increments amongst other areas,” the company added.
