Hiring in insurance and retail segments picks up, says Naukri report

India’s hiring activity broke all records and touched new heights as recorded by Naukri’s JobSpeak index in February 2022. The Naukri index stood — a monthly Index that calculates and records hiring activity — at 3074, surpassing its previous high of 2753, which clocked in September 2021.

The re-opening of the Indian ecosystem has reinforced a positive sentiment among employers and jobseekers, the report added.

Insurance has clocked the highest growth in hiring activity in February 2022 compared to last year. The segment is expected to create 300,000 jobs in the next three years, according to Praxis Global Alliance | Year-on-year growth: 74 percent

Retail saw the second highest growth in hiring activities in February 2022. A quick search on the web revealed that companies like Reliance Fresh, Fab India, Decathlon and Starbucks have vacancies | Year-on-year growth: 64 percent
