DRDO is inviting applications to fill up 150 apprenticeship posts with a monthly stipend of ₹9,000

• DRDO is recruiting 150 apprentices for a period of one year for its Research Centre Imarat.
• The last date to apply for the opportunity is February 7.
• Apprentices will be paid a monthly stipend of maximum ₹9,000.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is hiring 150 apprentices for its Research Centre Imarat (RCI), a laboratory of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, in Hyderabad.

The online application process has already begun and the last date to apply for the apprenticeship programme is February 7.

The duration of the apprenticeship programme is one year, starting from the date of joining.

These are the roles and vacancies —

Essential educational qualifications required —

1. For Graduate apprentice — Bachelor of commerce (B.com)/ bachelor of science (B.Sc)/bachelor of engineering (B.E)/bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in electronics and communications engineering (ECE) or electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) or computer science engineering (CSE) or mechanical or chemical.
   
2. For Technician (Diploma) apprentice — Diploma in ECE, EEE, CSE, mechanical or chemical.
   
3. For Trade apprentice — Industrial Training Institute (ITI) pass in fitter, turner, electrician, electronics mechanic and welder.
   

Other terms and conditions —

1. Candidates with post-graduate qualification are not eligible to apply.
   
2. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or at present undergoing apprenticeship training under any organisation are not eligible to apply.
   
3. Candidates with more than one year work experience are not eligible to apply.
   
4. Candidates should not be less than 18 years of age as on January 1, 2022.
   
5. Selection will be made on the basis of academic merit/written test/interview as required.
