According to Gartner’s information technology and management forecast, global spend on IT and risk management systems will reach $131 billion in 2020 in an attempt to cut down on data breaches.

Given that, there has been an increasing demand for professionals to facilitate it. A recent report by the staffing firm Xpheno said that there are as many as 67,000 job opening in cybersecurity — including threat management, network security, cloud security roles.

Ericsson

Position: Security Operations Analyst
Location: Bangalore
Experience: Minimum 4 years
Eligibility: CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, Security+, CCNA Security, or ITIL certifications

Swedish multinational and telecommunications company Ericsson is hiring a security operations analyst. The candidate will be required to manage the security team. This includes security event analysis, threat assessment, security incident response strategy and coordinating all cybersecurity-related investigations.

He will be working on security management, creating alerts, and also working with SIEM tools and executing vulnerability scams. The candidate will also perform static and dynamic code scanning, analyse results and execute reports based on that.

To apply for the job, the candidate must have a customer oriented, service mindset and strong knowledge of information security — including tools like McAfee ESM, QRadar, ArcSight, Splunk. He should also be aware of distributed applications and TCP/IP networks.

Position: Security Threat Analyst

Microsoft is looking to hire a security threat analyst. The candidate will be responsible for helping enterprises detect and investigate attacks and data breaches on their networks. He will also perform analysis and generate custom alerts.

The candidate should be skilled in security operations, threat intelligence, and cyber incident response. He should have working knowledge of scripting languages such as: Excel, SQL, Python, Splunk, and PowerBI.

PepsiCo

Position: Analyst - Information Security

PepsiCo is inviting applications for IT Analyst.The applicant will execute critical security products. He will be responsible for all security product deployment, configuration, upgrades, related events.

He will work on installation, configuration and other mission-critical enterprise applications such as AV, software delivery, patching, log management. The candidate will also look after day-to-day security operations, change management and troubleshoots security systems.
