Call of Duty was once the world’s biggest entertainment franchise and now is taking over
India was the second most popular destination for the game after the US, accounting for 13.4% of the downloads.
Call of Duty’s 100 million downloads is nearly five times the amount of downloads that PUBG and Fornite got in their first week.
A little more than half of Call of Duty’s downloads came from iOS, while Android accounted for 44.3% of unique installs.
Fornite’s reach was limited since it only launched on iOS.
The closest that any other game has come to Call of Duty’s record is
Call of Duty’s original developers, Activision, partnered with Tencent’s Timi Studio to develop the mobile version.
The game also performed well in terms of consumer spending. Its revenue collection out paced PUBG and Fornite hitting $17.7 million. This means for every download, the game was earning $0.17 on an average.
