Jio's 1,299 long-term prepaid plan validity and benefits

1,299 prepaid plan is one of the most popular annual packages offered by Jio. Upon its launch, this plan carried a validity of 365 days. Sometime back, Reliance Jio reduced the validity to 336 days. It appears that India’s fastest growing network is considering 28 days validity as one month and as a result, Jio has reduced the validity period. Hence, the users will have to recharge for 28 days more at the end of the validity to pull on the pack for a year though this is touted as an annual plan by Reliance Communications.

The revised 1,299 Jio prepaid plan comes with a validity of 336 days. The other benefits of the package include 24 GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calls from Jio to Jio number, 12,000 calling minutes on Jio to non-Jio voice calling, and 3,600 SMS. Further to this, the mobile network giant is also providing a subscription to Jio suite of apps as a complimentary offer to the customers. Some of the interesting features of these apps include TV shows, streaming videos, a range of services and a lot of music.

The revision of the validity follows after Jio launched one another long-term recharge plan costing Rs. 2,121. This plan also carries the same validity of 336 days. The benefits of the 2,121 Jio prepaid plan include a daily limit of 1.5GB high speed daily data, unlimited Jio-to-Jio and landline voice calls, 12,000 minutes of Jio to non-Jio voice calling, and a daily allowance of 100 SMS. This plan also provides a complimentary subscription to a suite of Jio apps.

Once the subscribers use up the prescribed ceiling of the high speed data in both these Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 2,121 prepaid plans, they can continue to use the data services at a reduced speed of 64Kbps.
