Vikas D Nahar is the co-founder and CEO of Happilo, a Bengaluru-based health food brand that sells a range of dry fruits and nuts.

Nahar will appear on a special digital-only episode titled ‘Gateway to Shark Tank India 2’, which will also be a grand finale to the Shark Tank India Season 2.

Shark Peyush Bansal, founder of Lenskart; and Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com will skip the episode and make place for Nahar, say reports. Aman Gupta, founder of boAt; Vineeta Singh, founder of Sugar Cosmetics; and Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals will remain as is on the episode.

Nahar’s family is in the farming business of growing pepper and coffee, which inclined him naturally towards entrepreneurship. He completed Bachelors in Computer Application from Bangalore University in 2005.

Nahar completed Bachelors in Computer Application from Bangalore University in 2005. Later, he did MBA from Symbiosis International University in management and human resource development, Pune.

After completing studies, Nahar joined Satvikk Speciality Foods as the managing director, which is also an e-commerce company that sells a range of dry fruits and nuts. His experiences at Satvikk helped him establish Happilo in 2016, which now has a revenue run rate of ₹500 crore.

After seven years, the company has a good presence in e-commerce and retail stores across the country. Happilo began with an initial capital of just ₹10,000 and two team members.

In an introductory video shared on social media platforms, Nahar said that “I myself was rejected 20 times before I raised my first funding.
