This COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and function as a society. The rising number of cases is a cause for concern across India. In apartments that have hundreds of families living, there have been instances where an entire building or specific floors have been sealed off as a coronavirus positive case gets reported. With work from home becoming the norm, and as residents continue to stay at home, several startups have been introducing innovative solutions for residential apartments.
And the latest to join the list is the real estate startup NoBroker. Through its security management app, NoBroker has launched several new features, including COVID19 tracker, alerts for residents, tracking the live patrolling of guards, and more.
“COVID-19 has disrupted lives by affecting daily routines and activities. The features that we have integrated are many firsts in a society app and are aimed at solving pain points of society living. We are leveraging solutions powered by a mix of man and machine such as face masks and touchless entry – to get the best of both worlds,” said Akhil Gupta, Co-founder and CTO of NoBroker in a statement.
Along with UV sanitisation kits at the entrance, the startup has also introduced face recognition at the gates of societies. However, it said that only the encrypted representation of the face is captured instead of an image to ensure high-level safety. “Once this detail is added to the app, daily visitors will just need to face the guard’s mobile phone camera, get instant contactless approval and enter the society building,” said the startup.
