Zinc futures slide on low demand

New Delhi, Feb 24 () Zinc prices on Monday fell 2.92 per cent to Rs 162.90 per kg in futures trade as speculators cut bets amid easing demand at spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery moved down by Rs 4.90, or 2.92 per cent, to Rs 162.90 per kg in a business turnover of 20 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices in futures trade here. VHP SHWSHW
