Spot gold markets remain shut due to countrywide lockdown: HDFC Securities

New Delhi, May 26 () Spot gold markets remained shut for trading on Tuesday due to countrywide lockdown, according to HDFC Securities.

In the international market, gold was quoting marginally higher at USD 1,730 per ounce and silver at USD 17.36 per ounce.

"Gold prices traded in narrow range on Tuesday on mixed global cues. The improved investment sentiments on vaccine hopes boosted buying in riskier assets which pressured gold prices," HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said. SUM SHW SHW
