Spot gold markets remain shut due to countrywide lockdown: HDFC Securities

New Delhi, May 13 () Spot gold markets remained shut on Wednesday due to the countrywide lockdown to prevent spread of COVID-19 infections, according to HDFC Securities.

In the international market, gold quoted flat at USD 1,701 per ounce, while silver was trading at USD 15.43 per ounce.

"Gold prices witnessed range-bound trading on mixed global cues. Prices traded above USD 1,700 per ounce on worries over rise in cases (coronavirus) in some parts of China and South Korea," it said. SUM RVK
