Spot gold markets remain shut due to countrywide lockdown: HDFC Securities

New Delhi, Apr 15 () Spot gold markets remained shut on Wednesday due to the countrywide lockdown to prevent spread of COVID-19, according to HDFC Securities.

The government on Tuesday extended the lockdown till May 3.

Meanwhile, in the international market both gold and silver were trading lower at USD 1,714 per ounce and USD 15.50 per ounce, respectively.

"Gold prices witnessed minor correction with spot international gold prices trading at USD 1,714 per ounce on Wednesday," it said. SUM RVK
