Soybean futures rise on fresh bets

New Delhi, Jul 15 () Soybean prices on Wednesday went up by Rs 52 to Rs 3,766 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions tracking positive spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for July delivery rose by Rs 52, or 1.4 per cent, to Rs 3,766 per quintal with an open interest of 6,635 lots.

Soybean for August delivery went up by Rs 18, or 0.48 per cent to Rs 3,770 per quintal with an open interest of 39,605 lots.

Marketmen said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. SRS SHW SHW
