Refined soya oil futures fall on subdued demand

New Delhi, Mar 11 () Refined soya oil prices on Wednesday fell 0.85 per cent to Rs 770 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March declined by Rs 6.6, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 770 per 10 kg in 21,150 lots.

The refined soya oil contracts for April dropped by Rs 10, or 1.32 per cent, to Rs 746.4 per 10 kg in 33,260 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. VHP RUJRUJ
