Guar gum futures slide on weak demand

New Delhi, Mar 6 () Guar gum prices on Friday slumped Rs 115 to Rs 6,264 per five quintal in futures market as traders trimmed their holdings in line with weak trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for March delivery fell by Rs 115, or 1.8 per cent, to Rs 6,264 per five quintal in 11,045 lots.

Guar gum for April delivery eased by Rs 114, or 1.77 per cent, to Rs 6,341 per five quintal in 46,565 lots.

Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants amid weak demand mainly dragged down guar gum prices here. VHP SHWSHW
