Tesla co-founder Elon Musk, currently in the middle of a legal battle over the Twitter acquisition controversy, is well known for his unique tweets, and has come up with a new way to promote his new perfume.

Elon Musk recently launched a perfume dubbed as “Burnt Hair”, which he described as “The finest fragrance on Earth!”. Musk had earlier backed out from the $44 billion acquisition of social media giant Twitter and has now asked fans to buy his $100 perfume so that he can fund the Twitter acquisition.

Musk has gone all-in to promote his perfume, asking his followers to help him buy Twitter.

“Please buy my perfume, so I can buy Twitter,” Musk said in a tweet.

In a day, Musk has reportedly sold more than 20,000 perfumes worth over $2 million. Soon after posting a tweet saying “20,000”, Musk changed his Twitter bio to “Perfume Salesman”.

Not the first product from Elon Musk

This is not the first time that Musk has sold a product like this. In 2020, Tesla sold a $250 tequila in the shape of a lightning bolt dubbed as Tesla Tequila. The Tesla Tequila went out of stock soon after it was launched on its online store.
