New Delhi, Mar 17 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday gained 1.26 per cent to Rs 1,772 per quintal in futures trade due to accumulation of positions by traders amid upbeat trend at the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake contracts for March delivery rose by Rs 22, or 1.26 per cent, to Rs 1,772 per quintal in 11,570 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake contracts for April gained Rs 23, or 1.31 per cent, to Rs 1,781 per quintal in 73,180 lots.

Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid rising demand from cattle feed makers mainly influenced prices here. VHP SHWSHW
