Copper futures slide on soft demand

New Delhi, Mar 17 () Copper futures on Tuesday traded 0.72 per cent lower at Rs 409.50 per kg after participants offloaded their positions on weak spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 2.95, or 0.72 per cent, to Rs 409.50 per kg in a business turnover of 3,756 lots.

Similarly, copper contracts for April delivery traded lower by Rs 2.20, or 0.53 per cent, to Rs 413.10 per kg in a business turnover of 189 lots.
