Copper futures dip on low demand

New Delhi, Jan 30 () Copper futures on Thursday traded 0.69 per cent lower at Rs 426.45 per kg as speculators reduced their exposure on weak spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery fell by Rs 2.95, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 426.45 per kg in a business turnover of 3,061 lots.

Similarly, copper contracts for March delivery traded lower by Rs 3.55, or 0.82 per cent, at Rs 428.30 per kg in a business turnover of 80 lots.

Traders said weak demand in spot market mainly pushed down copper prices here. VHP RUJ RUJ
