Ashneer Grover clarifies his Shark Tank investment details in 11 companies

BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover on Wednesday tweeted that he had invested ₹2.95 crore in 11 deals on Shark Tank India Season 1, where he featured as a ‘shark’, the name given to the investors appearing on the show.

Why the clarification from Grover

Grover shared details of the 11 companies in which he has invested – versus the 21 companies he had committed to invest in during Shark Tank India. His clarification came amidst media reports that he had invested in only 8 companies.

Momo Mami

Momo Mami, which is run by Aditi Madan and makes frozen momos with a shelf life of 4 months, received an investment of ₹25 lakh from Grover. The company had received a commitment of ₹75 lakh from Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta and Vineeta Singh on Shark Tank India Season 1.

Event Beep

Event Beep, an application aimed at students to help build a community, received an investment of ₹14.98 lakh from Grover. Grover, Gupta and Peyush Bansal had committed to invest ₹30 lakh in the company on the show.

Hair Originals, manufacturer of natural human hair extensions, received an investment of ₹20 lakh from Grover. The company had received a commitment of ₹60 lakh from Grover, Bansal and Anupam Mittal on the show.

The Yarn Bazaar, a platform to buy and sell yarn, received an investment of ₹25 lakh from Grover. The company had received a commitment of ₹1 crore from Grover, Gupta, Mittal and Bansal on Shark Tank India Season 1.

Revamp Moto

Electric two-wheeler maker Revamp Moto received an investment of ₹50 lakh from Grover. The company, which showcased its electric bike the Revamp Moto Mitra, received a commitment of ₹1 crore from Gupta and Mittal on the show, with Grover signing a deal after the show.

Skippi Ice Pops

Skippi Ice Pops, which brought back the nostalgic ice pops, received an investment of ₹20 lakh from Grover. The company had received a commitment of ₹1 crore from five sharks – Grover, Mittal, Gupta, Singh and Namita Thapar.

Nomad Foods, which makes bacon-infused jams, received an investment of ₹10 lakh from Grover. The company had received a commitment of ₹40 lakh from Grover, Thapar, Singh and Ghazal Alagh.
