Apple may soon open physical stores in Mumbai and Delhi as it starts hiring for different roles

• Apple Store will first debut in Mumbai, followed by a second store in Delhi.
• The company is expected to open its store on August 15, 2022.

Apple is all set to launch its much-awaited Apple Store in India. The company has been planning on launching its brick and mortar stores in the country for some time now but its plans were delayed due to the pandemic.

The Cupertino tech giant had launched its online store last year and after the success of the store, the company’s chief executive officer, Tim Cook had announced that the company would soon launch retail stores in the country.

According to a report by Nuclear Bits, Apple has started the hiring process for its retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi. The first store is expected to come up at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai, followed by the second store in Delhi.

Some of the roles for which Apple has started hiring employees include Store Leader, Senior Manager, Manager, Operations Expert, Genius, Specialist and Technical Specialist among others.

The job descriptions reportedly mention the term “Apple Store” and also highlight that the employees will have to work with customers visiting the retail store.

Currently, Apple sells its products offline through authorized resellers. After initial reports that Apple may soon set up its retail stores in the country, we may finally see the iconic stores in the country.

Apple Stores will allow customers to have a first-hand experience of the company’s products before purchasing them and allow them to get support for the devices purchased.

As per an ET report, the first Apple Store will open on August 15, 2022, to coincide with the country’s Independence Day. The report further added that the company will open its third store in Bengaluru and one store each will be added to Mumbai and Delhi.

Other major cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata may have to wait a little longer to get their own Apple Stores.
