Aluminium futures gain on spot demand

New Delhi, Jan 24 () Aluminium prices on Friday edged up 1.84 per cent to Rs 143.85 per kg in futures market after speculators built up fresh positions amid positive trend in spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for delivery in May gained Rs 2.60, or 1.84 per cent, to Rs 143.85 per kg with a business turnover of 12 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders on positive demand from consuming industries mainly led to rise in aluminium prices. VHP SHW SHW
