Maruti Suzuki Brezza emerged as the top-selling car in August 2024, with 19,190 cars sold during the month, up from 14,572 cars sold in August 2023, an increase of 31.69 percent.

The next car on the list is the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The company sold 18,580 cars in August 2024, up from 12,315 in August 2023, a 50.87 percent year-on-year growth in sales.

Hyundai Creta, a popular SUV from the Korean automaker, emerged as the third most selling car in August 2024. The company sold 16,762 units of Creta in August 2024, up from 13,832 vehicles sold in August 2023, registering a growth of 21.18 percent.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR, one of the company’s most popular cars, emerged as the country’s fourth most selling car in August 2024, with 16,450 cars sold during the month, up from 15,578 cars sold in August 2023, recording a growth of 5.60 percent.

The Tata Punch, an affordable SUV from Tata Motors is in the fifth position with 15,643 cars sold in August 2024, up from 14,523 cars sold in August 2023, an increase of 9.09 percent.

The Mahindra Scorpio SUV is the eighth most selling car in August 2024, with 13,787 units sold during the month, up from 9,898 cars sold in August 2023, an increase of 39.29 percent.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift, the company’s most popular hatchback is next on the list with 12,844 cars sold in August 2024, down from 18,653 cars sold in August 2023. The car reported a 31.11 percent year-on-year decline in sales.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has also reported a huge year-on-year decline in sales. The company sold 12,485 cars in August 2024, down from 18,516 cars sold in August 2023, a 32,57 percent year-on-year decline in sales.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx was the ninth top-selling car in August 2024, with 12,387 cars sold during the month, up from 12,164 cars sold in August 2023, an increase of 1.83 percent.

Tata Nexon, another popular SUV from Tata Motors is tenth on the list, with 12,289 cars sold during August 2024, up from 8,049 cars sold in August 2023, registering a year-on-year growth of 52.68 percent.
