Mahindra sports a new logo for its SUV lineup — A look at the Indian auto giant’s logos through the years

Mahindra’s new logo

Mahindra has unveiled its new visual identity with a brand new logo for its upcoming SUV portfolio. The new logo will make its debut with the new Mahindra XUV700 premium SUV.

The new logo has two chrome infused elements stacked in a way to highlight ‘M’ signifying Mahindra.

The first Mahindra logo was designed 3 years after the company was founded.

The first logo

The logo is composed of a wordmark with an emblem on its top. A classic grey wordmark with an oval-shaped ‘M’ with three diagonal lines inside.

The name of the company is written in bold letters, which signified strength and the three lines resembled speed and movement.

Slight Modification

It was slightly modified through the years, but is still in use alongside the new visual identity.

2012

In 2012, Mahindra created its new modern logo with diagonal cuts in the letter ‘I’ and ‘A’. The diagonal cuts in the letters were given to make the logo look stylish and modern.
