Upcoming cars launching in India in October 2024

Among the first launches in October, South Korean automaker Kia is expected to launch the Kia EV9, the company’s most expensive electric SUV in India. The car, which will be brought as a Completely Built Up (CBU) mode, is equipped with a 99.8kWh battery, claimed to offer a range of 561 km on a single charge. The electric SUV, which is expected to be priced around ₹80 lakh will be launched at an event on October 3.

On the same day, Kia will also launch the Kia Carnival 2024, the 2024 version of the company’s premium MPV in the country. The car, which is expected to be priced starting around ₹40 lakh is already available for booking. The car, expected to offer improved design will retain the same 2.2-litre diesel engine as the outgoing version.

Japanese automaker Nissan is expected to launch the 2024 version of the Magnite compact SUV in India. While the car is expected to come with several design changes, it will retain the existing engine options, offering a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

Chinese automaker BYD is expected to launch its electric MPV, the BYD eMax 7 in India in October. The BYD eMax 7 is the updated version of the e6 MPV and is expected to feature a 12.8-inch infotainment display, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. The car is expected to come with Level-2 ADAS and offer a range of up to 530 km on a single charge.

Mercedes will launch the 2024 E-Class in India on October 9. The new-gen E-Class, which is expected to be priced starting around ₹80 lakh is already available for pre-booking. The car features a 14.4-inch infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment display. It comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2-litre diesel engine.
