Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki is the leading car manufacturer in the country with a market share of over 50%. It recently unveiled the 2020 Ignis facelift and the Vitara Brezza, which was showcased during the Auto Expo 2020.

Maruti S-Presso – March 2020
Maruti showcased the CNG variant of S-Presso at the Auto Expo 2020. The entry-level car is expected to be announced in March 2020. It is already available in a petrol variant and the CNG variant is expected to be priced around ₹30,000 higher.
The S-Presso CNG variant will be equipped with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that can generate 58 bhp of power and 78 Nm of peak torque. It will be available in a 5-speed manual option and is based on the company’s HEARTECT-K platform.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross – April 2020
Maruti Suzuki also showcased the S-Cross at the Auto Expo 2020. The car is equipped with the same BS-6 compliant engine as the Ciaz and the XL6. It is expected to be priced between ₹9 to ₹12 lakh.
The car is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can develop 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. It is expected to be available in a 5-speed manual option and the company may also launch a mild-hybrid tech option with a 4-speed AT.
Maruti Suzuki XL5 - September 2020
Maruti Suzuki XL5 is expected to be a premium version of the Wagon R hatchback. It has been spotted several times and is expected to be announced in September this year. It is as tall as the Wagon R but is much wider at the base.
The XL5 will be equipped with a BS6 compliant 1.2 Litre 4-Cylinder K-series engine which can develop 82 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny – November 2020
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is one of the most-anticipated cars of the company. It is expected to be available at the company’s Arena dealerships. The company is expected to announce a 5-door variant of the car for the Indian market.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre K15b petrol engine that can generate 102 PS of power and 130 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid – late 2020
Maruti Suzuki had also showcased the Swift Hybrid at the Auto Expo 2020. The company’s MD Kenichi Ayukawa recently confirmed that they will launch its first hybrid electric vehicle later this year.
The Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid is expected to use a parallel-hybrid system consisting of a 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a 48V electric motor. The petrol engine can develop 92 PS of power and 118 Nm of peak torque. The electric motor can develop an additional 13.6 PS of power and 30 Nm torque.
