Multiple cars and two-wheelers have been launched in India in the first four months of 2024, from the recently launched Mahindra XUV 3XO to the Tata Punch EV to the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2. The vehicles launched include both ICE vehicles and EVs, from affordable options to premium offerings. May 2024 is expected to be relatively quieter, with fewer launches expected this month.

Force Gurkha 5-door

The Force Gurkha 5-door is expected to be launched in India in May 2024. The car is expected to come with new 18-inch alloy wheels, redesigned headlamps and more. The car is expected to be equipped with a 2.6-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and offer a four-wheel-drive option. It is expected to offer features such as a 9-inch infotainment display, digital instrument cluster, TPMS and more.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Maruti Suzuki
India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the 2024 Swift in India in May. The car is expected to come with several changes, including a revamped design, a new three-cylinder engine with improved fuel efficiency and improved interiors. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, mated with a five-speed CVT.
Tata Altroz Racer
Tata Motors
Tata Motors is expected to launch the Altroz Racer hatchback in May. The company had showcased the vehicle at the first Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. It is a revamped version of the company’s existing Altroz hatchback and offers a sportier option with revamped interiors and exteriors. It features a 10.25-inch infotainment display, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, six airbags, sunroof, ventilated seats, TPMS and more. It is expected to become the company’s premium hatchback offering once it is launched.
2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS400
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the premium 2024 Pulsar NS400 in India in May. The company has been teasing the vehicle for a few days now. The bike is expected to feature a similar design as the NS series from the company while offering an LED projector headlamp, digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth support, turn-by-turn navigation and more. It will be powered by a 373cc, liquid-cooled motor which can develop 39 bhp power and 35 Nm of torque.
Honda Activa Electric

Honda, India’s leading two-wheeler maker, is all set to enter the electric segment, with the launch of the electric version of its popular scooter, Activa. The Activa Electric is expected to feature the same design as its ICE counterpart and offer a range of around 100 km on a single charge. It will take on the likes of the TVS iQube, the recently launched Ather Rizta and the Bajaj Chetak in the country.
