Upcoming cars and two-wheelers launching in India in April 2024

Skoda is all set to launch its popular sedan, the Superb, in India on April 3. The Superb will reportedly be brought as a CBU (completely built up) vehicle and is likely to be priced on the higher side. The car is expected to be launched in two engine options in India – a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. Being a premium car, it will offer features such as a 13-inch infotainment system, a digital driver’s display and three-zone automatic climate control.

Homegrown electric two-wheeler maker Ather is all set to launch its first family scooter, dubbed the Ather Rizta at its community day event on April 6. While the company has not confirmed any details about the scooter, it is expected to feature a larger seat and offer a more traditional design when compared to its existing Ather 450X electric scooter.

Mahindra is expected to launch the facelift version of its popular compact SUV, the XUV300. The company is expected to retain the same five variants of the XUV300, which will be offered with diesel and petrol powertrains. The car is expected to get a major design overhaul and offer improved interiors and features.

India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the 2024 Swift in India in March. The car is expected to come with several changes, including a revamped design, a new three-cylinder engine with improved fuel efficiency and improved interiors. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, mated with a five-speed CVT.

Toyota is expected to announce the Urban Cruiser Taisor, the company’s rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx in India in April. The car will come with a few design changes over the existing Fronx, and is expected to be offered with only a 1.2-litre engine option, skipping the turbo engine variant.

Honda, India’s leading two-wheeler maker, is all set to enter the electric segment, with the launch of the electric version of its popular scooter, Activa. The Activa Electric is expected to feature the same design as its ICE counterpart and offer a range of around 100 km on a single charge. It will take on the likes of the TVS iQube and the Bajaj Chetak in the country.
