Skoda has announced the launch of its latest SUV, the Skoda Kylaq in India. The Kylaq is the company’s entry-level subcompact SUV and is aimed at users looking for an affordable SUV.The Skoda Kylaq is positioned below the company’s Kushaq and will take on the likes of the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra 3XO, Hyundai Venue and other similar offerings in the sub-four-metre SUV segment.

The Skoda Kylaq comes with the company’s signature styling, featuring a bold grille with a split headlight setup, with DRLs placed above the headlamps. It comes with chrome door handles, roof rails and body cladding. The SUV features 17-inch alloy wheels.Advertisement
It features a 10-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The Kylaq features an 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and rear AC vents and offers keyless entry.
The Skoda Kylaq is equipped with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 115 PS power and 178 Nm of peak torque. It is offered with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque-converter (TC) transmission
In terms of safety, the Kylaq is offered with six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a reverse parking camera.
