Tata has launched an upgraded version of the Nexon EV, dubbed the Nexon EV Prime.

The Nexon EV Prime comes in five variants – XM, XZ Plus, XZ Plus Lux, Dark XZ Plus and Dark XZ Plus Lux.

The Tata Nexon EV Prime is available with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹14.99 lakh and goes all the way to ₹17.5 lakh.

The Tata Nexon EV Prime comes with new features such as multi-mode regen, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and smartwatch-integrated connectivity features.

The Tata Nexon EV Prime is powered by the same 129hp electric motor as the older Nexon EV.

The Tata Nexon EV Prime retains the 30.2kWh battery pack.

The Tata Nexon EV Prime is claimed to offer a range of 312 km on a single charge, just like its predecessor. The new multi-mode regen should add a few km to the range.

Tata Motors has announced that the company will offer free hardware and software upgrades to existing Nexon EV owners.

Tata Motors has also added that only the first software update will be free and customers may have to pay for future updates.
