BMW has discontinued the petrol-powered X3 entirely, and now the X3 is a diesel-only SUV.

The X3 20d M Sport features a 2.0-liter diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox driving all four wheels that deliver a power of 190hp and 400Nm.

The M Sport variant features a more aggressively styled exterior with sportier front and rear bumpers, a blacked-out frame around the windows, a blacked-out roof rail and diffuser, and 20-inch alloys with blue brake calipers.

The X3 20d M Sport has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, Harman Kardon sound system, heads-up display, and ambient lighting.

The new variant has the same features as the other trims, including dynamic damper control, performance control, adaptive LED headlights, three-zone temperature control, cruise control, and multiple drive modes, such as Ecopro, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.

The X3 20d M Sport directly competes with the Discovery Sport Diesel R-Dynamic SE in terms of diesel-powered midsize luxury SUVs.

The X3 is the only SUV in its class not to offer a petrol engine, while its rivals like Audi, Mercedes, and Volvo are available in petrol powertrain.

BMW is set to launch the new-generation M2 coupe, which will be the first BMW to be offered with a manual transmission in India, in May. The carmaker will also introduce the facelifted Z4 convertible in May and the facelift X5 SUV in August.
