Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the eVX electric SUV concept car at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023 in the National Capital Region.

This will be the first electric car from the company, which has so far restricted itself to petrol, diesel, CNG and hybrid cars.

The electric car is based on a dedicated platform being developed in partnership with Toyota.

The concept car features a squarish look with a tall bonnet, closed-off front-end and a black coloured roof. The tailgate is equipped with a spoiler and it comes with large squared-out alloy wheels.

The eVX electric SUV concept measures 4300mm long, 1800mm wide and 1,600mm high, which is similar to the Tata Nexon EV and the Creta.

The eVX electric SUV concept is equipped with a 60kWh battery pack.

Maruti Suzuki has said that the vehicle will offer a range of 550 km on a single charge. This may change by the time the car is launched in 2025.

The car will compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
