Kia EV9 electric SUV launched in India at ₹1.3 crore

The Kia EV9 has been priced at ₹1.30 crore (ex-showroom) in India. The car is available in five colour options – Aurora Black Pearl, Ocean Blue, Panthera Metal, Pebble Gray and Snow White Pearl.

The Kia EV9 is based on the electric-global modular platform (E-GMP). It features a digital tiger-nose grille with sleek LED headlamp, L-shaped LED DRLs, ‘starmap’ LED rear combination lights, LED fog lamps, black ORVMs, hidden rear wiper and 20-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels. The car comes with a boxy design and is the largest SUV from the company in the Indian market.

The Kia EV9 is paired with a dual electric motor with an all-wheel drive configuration. The motor produces 384 hp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque.

The Kia EV9 can go from 0 to 100 km per hour in 5.3 seconds. It offers a top speed of 200 km per hour.

The Kia EV9 comes with a 99.9kWh battery pack. Using a 350kW DC fast charger, the car can be charged from 10 to 80% in just 24 minutes.

The Kia EV9 offers a range of 561 Km (ARAI certified) on a single charge.

The Kia EV9 comes with a dual-tone Brown and Black finish. It offers a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation and 6-inch HVAC controls. It features a Meridian Premium Sound System with 14 speakers, digital IRVM, dual sunroof, Kia Connect, a digital key, six USB Type-C charging ports, three-zone climate control and more.

The Kia EV9 competes with the likes of the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and the Mercedes-Benz EQE in the country.
