Honda Elevate to take on the Hyundai Creta and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in India

Japanese auto giant Honda has finally launched the mid-sized Elevate SUV in India. With this, the company’s offerings in the Indian market have gone to three, including the existing City and Amaze. The Honda Elevate is currently the only SUV that the automaker is offering in India as it has discontinued the BR-V and the W-RV.

The Honda Elevate has been launched in four variants and is priced starting at ₹11 lakh ex-showroom and the top-end variant goes up to ₹16 lakh.

The car will compete with the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in the Indian market.

The car is offered in monotone and dual-tone colour options. In terms of monotone colours, it is available in Meteoroid Gray, Golden Brown, Lunar Silver, Obsidian Blue, Phoenix Orange, Platinum White, and Radiant Red colour options.

It is also available in dual-tone colour options such as Phoenix Orange with a Crystal Black roof, Radiant Red with a Crystal Black roof, and Platinum White with a Crystal Black roof.

Honda Elevate specifications


The new Honda Elevate features a large shiny grille at the front and comes with a thick muscular body. It is inspired from the Honda CR-V that was launched globally in 2022.

The Honda Elevate SUV is equipped with a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, which is also used in the company’s Honda City sedan. The engine delivers 119 bhp of power and 145.1 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of features, the company has packed the car and not compromised on any important feature. The car features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch HD TFT display, automatic climate control, electric sunroof and cruise control.

Additionally, it offers six airbags, reverse parking cameras, advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) and rain-sensing wipers in terms of safety features.

The car’s ADAS suite includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking and more.
