The Indian two-wheeler manufacturers are predicted to see a strong turnaround despite the inauspicious periods of Shraadh and Adhik Maas in the Northern and the Western region. The improving sales picture comes after an increased preference for personal mobility amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Two Wheeler (2W) dispatches are expected to see further recovery on the back of continued ramp-up in supply chains, thriving rural sentiments and rise in personal mobility needs,” said the Nirmal Bang report.

The analysts at Nomura expect Hero MotoCorp to outperform in the sales number compared to its other peers TVS and Bajaj Auto, owing to its strong reach in the Indian rural areas.
