The coronavirus crisis impacted the sales of four-wheelers the most, but that is not stopping automakers from announcing and launching new cars to woo customers. There’s a wide range of options available for all from the cheapest to the costliest.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross petrol

Maruti Suzuki India has already launched its Maruti Suzuki S-Cross (petrol), yesterday (August 5). The car is priced at ₹8.39 lakh.
According to the company, the new S-Cross Petrol is available with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission.” The engine offers superior NVH characteristics powered by a pendulum mount engine, offering unmatched best-in-class fuel efficiency (18.55km/l) and improved cooling performance,” it said in a statement. The car will compete against Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the segment.
Mahindra XUV300 Sportz

One of India’s largest automakers, Mahindra was set to launch its XUV300 Sportz car in April, but the COVID disruption delayed its plans. The carmaker is now planning to launch it on August 14, a day ahead of Independence day.
The car is likely to be priced around ₹12.35 lakh. The XUV300 Sportz will rival Hyundai Venue Turbo and Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport EcoBoost.
Kia Sonet

As the automakers slowly move towards normalcy, The second SUV from Kia Motors’ stable, the Kia Sonet is likely to be launched on August 7. The car was first showcased as a concept at Auto Expo this year and is expected to be priced somewhere around ₹7 lakh to ₹11.5 lakh.
Kia is expected to come with provisions like a widescreen infotainment system, connected technology, electric sunroof, automatic AC and much more. Along with the interior design, the carmaker has revealed that the SUV will offer up to 6 airbags like the Hyundai Venue.
Tata HBX micro-SUV

Earlier this year, Tata had showcased HBX micro-SUV as a near-production concept at the Auto Expo.
The company is planning to launch the SUV in August. This car will give a tough competition to its rivals like Maruti Ignis, Renault Kwid, and the Mahindra KUV100.
The car will have some of the top features like the best-in-class audio system from Harman, Cruise Control, and the premium split headlamp setup. However, the company hasn’t given a clear price range for new HBX micro-SUV, but it is expected to be in the range of ₹ 5 lakh.
Toyota Urban Cruiser

Toyota earlier on Tuesday announced the launch of its much-awaited compact SUV segment in India. The car is expected to be launched in August with an estimated price of ₹8.0 Lakh and ₹11.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Urban Cruiser will be available in a 5-seater layout with features like auto AC, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
