After witnessing a solid recovery in the two-wheelers segment in July, Indian automakers are set to launch a range of new bikes to woo customers.
According to analysts, the two-wheelers segment is slated to see further recovery in the coming months due to the rise in preference for personal mobility amidst the pandemic.
In this post, we cover some of the upcoming two-wheelers launches in India in August. If you are looking to buy a bike this month, the list below will help you make your choice.
These are the new two-wheelers launches scheduled in August:
Aprilia SXR 160
Aprilia
Aprilia is all set to launch the SXR160 in India, which it unveiled at Auto Expo earlier this year. The scooter comes with a sharp look and features such as full-LED headlight running LED DRLs, a tall windscreen, a plush seat, and a stretched-out floorboard.
Aprilia SXR160 is expected to be priced around ₹1.24 lakh and will compete against Suzuki Burgman Street BS6.
Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6

Mahindra is all set to re-launch the Mahindra Mojo with a new BS6 model. Colour variants and subtle styling updates are likely in the new model. The bike will have the same 295 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, and liquid-cooled engine, similar to its old variant.
The expected pricing is around ₹1.75 lakh and ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 will compete against Bajaj Dominar 250 and Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6.
Ducati Panigale V2

Ducati India is now preparing for the launch of its first BS6 compliant motorcycle Ducati Panigale V2 in India.
The pricing is likely to be around ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom), which will be a little higher than the current price of ₹15.3 lakh for its older version. The Ducati Panigale V2 made its global debut at the World Ducati Premiere in October 2019. The pre-booking for the bike has already begun with an initial token amount of ₹1 lakh.
2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and CB Hornet 160R BS6

Honda is all set to launch two bikes this month — 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade And CB Hornet 160R BS6. The Honda CB Hornet 160R BS6 will offer a small premium over the Honda 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade. But, the Fireblade is priced higher than its peer.
The Honda CB Hornet 160R BS6 is likely to cost around
₹86,500 - 95,542, whereas Fireblade will be priced much higher at
₹ 17.41 - 21.46 Lakh. The bookings for 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R has already commenced earlier this week in India.

TVS is all set to launch the BS6 model of TVS Victor. The new model is expected to see a price hike of ₹6,000 to ₹8,000 compared to its BS4 version, which was priced between ₹56,622 and ₹59,602.
The bike may see subtle cosmetic updates and newly added features such as an LED headlamp, Glide Through Technology, and the fuel-injected motor. Its main competitors will be Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, Honda Livo BS6, and the Hero Passion Pro BS6.
