The launch of the upgraded version of Morris Garages (MG) Hector emerged as a big rival to its peer Tata Harrier in the SUV segment. The Indian subsidiary of MG registered the highest-ever production, bookings, and sales in February, led by record sales in Hector and other models.

According to February’s sales figures, MG Hector and Hector Plus's combined sales stood at 3,662 units, whereas Tata sold 2,030 units of Harrier during the same period.
