BMW Motorrad has today launched the most expensive electric scooter in India. The BMW CE 04, priced more than the base variant of the Tata Nexon EV is the first electric scooter from the company to debut in India.

The BMW CE 04, which is being brought under the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route will be available starting September 2024. The scooter was first showcased in India in December 2022 and has finally been launched in India.

BMW CE 04 price and availability

The BMW CE 04 has been priced at ₹14.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bookings for the premium electric scooter are now open and the deliveries will begin in September 2024. The scooter is available in two colour options – Blue and White.

BMW CE 04 features

The BMW CE 04 comes with a futuristic look and features a boxy design. It features 15-inch wheels, which will offer a comparatively comfortable ride on Indian roads. With a kerb weight of 231 kg, the CE 04 is on the heavier side.


The BMW CE 04 is equipped with a 15kW permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor that can churn out 31kW of power and 62Nm of peak torque. The scooter can go from 0 to 50 in just 2.6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 120 km per hour.

Powering the BMW CE 04 is an 8.5 kWh battery that is claimed to offer a range of 130 km. The scooter is offered with two chargers – a 2.3kW charger that can fully charge the scooter in 4 hours and 20 minutes and a more expensive 6.9kW charger that can fully charge the scooter in 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The BMW CE 04 comes with a 10.25-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support. It offers three riding modes – Eco, Rain and Road. It offers traction control and Automatic Stability Control. It offers heated grips, a tyre pressure monitoring system and an anti-theft alarm.
