The 2 Series Gran Coupe is BMW’s entry-level smallest four-door sedan, which will be assembled locally at its Chennai India plant. The car will rival against its peers, such as Mercedes-Benz A-class and the Audi A3 sedans. The company had earlier started accepting bookings for the sedan for a token amount of ₹50,000.
The car made its global debut in November 2019 and is a Made-in-India product.

The 220d Sport Line variant of 2 Series Gran Coupe is priced at ₹39.3 lakh (ex-showroom), and the higher-spec 220d M Sport comes at a price range of ₹41.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
2 Series Gran Coupe: Features
The 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with an 8.8-inch MID, dual-zone climate control, dual-tone interior theme, frameless doors, shark-fin antenna, and the electrically adjustable front seats. The 10.25-inch touchscreen system offers iDrive interface, BMW Virtual Assistant, and BMW Gesture Control, Wireless Apple CarPlay and much more.

The BMW’s entry-level smallest four-door sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which is efficient at delivering 190 PS of maximum power. At the launch, the company said a petrol variant would also be joining the group in the future, but for now, the car will only be available in diesel variant.
2 Series Gran Coupe: Security Features
The car is equipped with safety features like six airbags, an anti-lock braking system, dynamic traction control, parking assistant with a rearview camera, wheel slip limitation technology, dynamic brake control, Electronic brakeforce distribution, among other features.
