Ather Energy has announced a large price cut for its affordable electric scooter, the Ather 450S just five months after its launch, which is likely aimed at making it more competitive amid a decline in sales.The Ather 450S, which is now priced at ₹1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) takes on the Ola S1 X+. While the Ather 450S is still slightly more expensive than the Ola S1 X+, the gap has decreased, making it important to compare the two vehicles before making a purchase.

Ather 450S vs Ola S1 X+ price
The Ather 450S is priced at ₹1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). If you include the company’s battery protection plan and Pro upgrade which offers features like navigation, ride modes, OTA updates and more, the price goes up by an additional ₹10,000, taking it to ₹1,19,999.
On the other hand, the Ola S1 X+ is priced at ₹1,06,779 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) with the charger included.

The Ather 450S is equipped with a 5.4kW PMS motor that delivers a peak torque of 22 Nm. It offers a top speed of 90 km per hour and can go from 0 to 40 km per hour in just 3.9 seconds.

While the Ather 450S is claimed to offer a range of 115 km on a single charge, the Ola S1 X+ is claimed to offer a range of up to 151 km on a single charge.
Battery and charging time
The Ather 450S comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack and the company has claimed that the scooter can be charged from 0 to 100% in 8 hours and 36 minutes.
The Ola S1 X+ on the other hand is equipped with a 3kWh battery pack and it can be fully charged in 7 hours and 24 minutes.

Coming to the features, the Ather 450S is equipped with a 7-inch display but most of the features offered by the scooter are available only for users who opt for the Pro upgrade.This includes the four riding modes, auto hold, turn by turn navigation, call and music control, and more.
The Ola S1 X+ on the other hand features a 5-inch LCD, navigation, cruise control, three driving modes, and more.
