The ideal candidate is a news buff who always knows what's going on in the world. He or she has a passion for storytelling and the ability to edit video quickly and creatively.
The role includes conceptualizing, producing, shooting, and editing videos across a wide range of subjects. While many videos will be focused on business, economic, and company news, there will also be room for stories about politics, people, and culture. It also involves editing video for multiple mediums, from Facebook to Snapchat to YouTube, in addition to our website.
You should be ready to get out in the field, too. We'd like to send this producer on adventures near or far, so they can send footage back to our London bureau that everyone in the world will want to consume on their phones.
Candidates should:
- have a mastery of Final Cut X or Premiere
- know how to use Adobe After Effects and Photoshop as well as various types of audio and digital video equipment, including Canon and Sony cameras
- know how to shoot awesome video with their iPhone
- 2-3 years professional experience
