Business Insider is hiring an Ideas intern
The gig is perfect for someone with an unending intellectual appetite and an unpretentious writing voice.
It's far from your average internship:
You'll pitch, report, and write stories under your own byline.
You'll produce contributed posts.
You'll help editors select stories from Slate, the Atlantic, and other content partners to share with our readers.
We want people who hold their own opinions, are fluent in the social web, and read widely across print and online.
Most of all, you should care about our readers and want to provide them stories that will help them in navigating their lives.
Qualifications include a background in journalism, experience with copyediting, and basic HTML literacy. Social media chops are a plus.
APPLY HERE with a resume and cover letter if interested, and specify why you're interested in working on Ideas.
Please note that this internship requires that you work in our Manhattan office. The internship term runs for approximately six months, with some flexibility on start and end dates. Interns are encouraged to work full-time (40 hours a week) if their schedule allows.
