The finance ministry has proposed to reduce import duty on diamonds and increase it on umbrellas.
It is also looking to tax all digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and NFTs, at 30%.
It has also announced initiatives for digital learning, mental health initiatives and more.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed the union budget of 2022 on Tuesday, threw light on new policies around taxation on digital currencies, special loans for hospitality and much more. The finance minister later hosted a post-budget press conference to give a glimpse into how these policies were generated and what thought went behind them.
