Brands are using the US election to lure Americans to Canada

"How to move to Canada" skyrocketed on Google back in March following now-President-elect Donald Trump's Super Tuesday wins.

Come election night, Business Insider's article titled "How to move to Canada and become a Canadian citizen" topped the site, and Canada's immigration website crashed.

Whether or not Americans will actually follow through with their plans for exodus has yet to be seen, but one thing is clear: There is a strong pull among certain disenchanted Americans to seek greener pastures in the north.

And brands have taken notice.
