Bosch is planning to invest Rs 400 crore in its Chennai facility and use it to manufacture other products also.
Presently, the Chennai plant manufactures front-loading washing machines.
The Chennai plant of the home appliances major is spread over 42 acres area.
"We have an investment plan of around Rs 400 crore for our facility in Chennai. Currently, front-loading washing machines are manufactured at the facility. And it has a capacity to produce over 300,000 units a year. We now plan to utilise the entire plant to manufacture other products," Nair told news agency PTI.
V Ranjith Nair, Head, Brand (Stores), launched Bosch’s first brand store in Gujarat in Vadodara city.
The Vadodara store will house entire range of Bosch free-standing and built-in appliances. With this brand store, Bosch will make the leading German patent application more accessible to its customers in the Western region.
Bosch also introduced Volt Check feature, which identifies machine’s behaviour based on voltage fluctuations, in the new range of washing machines for Gujarat and other states of West India.
