BlackBerry Rolled Out OS Version 10.2.1 Last Night And Here’s
What’s New
Blackberry opened the BB10 OS for the world to see and use last year. Couple of good devices such as the Z10 and Q10 were rolled out early and then came the Q5 and Z30. The BB10 platform did get few updates in-between, but nothing as concrete as what they have come up with now. The company has brought this fresh update for the new range of BB10 phones. Last night BlackBerry rolled out OS version 10.2.1 for Z10, Q10, Z30 and Q5 mobile phones.

The new operating system brings some good useful features that were missing in the earlier BB10 OS. 10.2.1 brings some new and some old features pulled out from the previous generation legacy operating system, which the users demanded. The list of new features includes:

· Pinch Gesture to filter Blackberry Hub
· A new animation to receive or end calls
· Users now have the option to send a SMS or BBM message to the caller if they do not wish to answer a call
· Groups are back and users can make SMS and E-mail groups
· New lock screen and way to open your phone
· Quick setting menu on top can be customised
· Offline browser reading is available
· FM comes to all devices
· Device and battery monitor has been updated too

The new update seems good and lot of neat features that were needed from the old legacy OS have been put here. We do feel this update would have been better if it came 6 months ago. Let’s see how the old and new users respond to this new update and if it boosts BlackBerry sales.
